Found extrusion suppliers in Asia, and downselected to a suitable manufacturer for cost-effective high volume production of the heatsinks

Background
This interactive robotic product was an early smart home assistant that consumers could talk to and interact with (weather, news, take photos), but included motorized stages that gave it animatronic qualities and social cues which other smart home devices did not include
The existing product was undergoing a redesign effort to increase featureset, including an updated AI SOM (system-on-module)
Custom thermal management was needed as OEM heatsink for the new module did not perform well enough, and did not package well
